Birmingham Monarchs held their AGM this week at Hamstead Social Club as the season draws nearer though looking at the weather you would not think it was!
The club reflected on a successful 2014 on and off the track and started to focus on 2015. The club will be defending the Midland League title with the side bolstered with the signings of Ricki Johnson and Matt Smith. The Monarchs also will be tracking young welsh rider Ieuan Payne from Newport and will be one to look out for this coming season.
Birmingham will be looking to take part in the major competitions this coming season and have already been given a bye in the knock out cup. Like other midlands clubs the Perry Barr based side will be looking to see how the new competition that will be replacing the combination fixture will go.
The new season sees the Combination League and Division Three both disbanding as in it’s place a meeting on the lines of the British Youth and Junior will be released though riders of all ages can take part as the event will see under 13’s riding against each other and riders over 14 doing battle.
Once the fixtures are released they will be up on the fixtures/results page of the website.
