Birmingham to Host World Championship Round

Birmingham Monarchs are proud to announce that they will be holding a semi final of the World Championships.

The Cycle Speedway World Championships take place in the UK this year with the Midlands hosting the semi finals and final. Perry Hall Park will be welcoming some of the worlds greatest riders on August 8th in what will be a great weekend of Cycle Speedway in the area.

British Cycling also announced the draw for the British Knock Out Cup and Birmingham have been given a bye into the quarter finals and could face a daunting trip as far south as Poole or up to Hull.

The club are looking ahead to the new season and making sure the Perry Hall Park track and facilities are in tip top condition ahead of tapes up in March. Off the track the Monarchs have also been busy bolstering the squad with the signings of Ieuan Payne and Matt Smith who joins recent signing Ricki Johnson who won the recent Indoor Championships.
