After seven weeks Birmingham are back in action as they take on near neighbours Wednesfield Aces in the penultimate Midland League fixture for the Monarchs.
Birmingham are closing in on the title this season but the Perry Barr side will not be taking anything for granted and will not be putting the foot off the gas as the Aces come to the second city.
The Monarchs have not been in team action since 20th July when they won away to East Park but members of the team have been riding in different competitions and will not be to rusty. Chris Timms, who just missed out on the British Open title, will be skippering the side which will full strength with Nathan Groves and Mark Winwood who has been the man to beat in the Eurovets this year.
Wednesfield currently sit in third place and though they cannot win the title they will be looking to finish the season on a good run and pip local rivals East Park to second place. Paul Heard is back from injury and looked to have lost none of his speed in the British Finals. Alongside the ex Monarch will be the usual suspects of Jewkes, Mould and Griffiths.
Earlier in the season the two sides finished deadlocked at a wet Ashmore Park with Paul Heard top scoring for the home side and Mark Winwood taking those honours for Birmingham.
