We wish all the Monarchs riders who are taking part in the British Finals this weekend the best of luck as they go up north this bank holiday weekend in search of medals.
Emily Pitt will be taking her place in the Women’s Championships which is a remarkable feat when only this time last year she was taking her first few laps in the sport. Emily has come along way since then with support from the club and riding regularly and even the odd bump and bruise has not put off the local rider.
In the Open Championship Mark Winwood and Chris Timms will be wearing the red and white of Birmingham as they are in the same semi final draw. Timms, who was on the podium in Coventry last year, will be looking to grace that stage once more as Mark Winwood will be looking to make the final after just missing out last year.
Winwood has been in sparking form this year leading the Eurovets and also a vital team member with stellar performances for the Monarchs as they look to take the Midland League title.
Timms will be back from Poland this weekend after being dissapointed in the Euro Championships and will no doubt look to put that behind him and make up for that this weekend.
