Birmingham and Leicester Monachs face off this Sunday in the Midland League as Birmingham look to carry on the impressive form.
Racing begins at 1pm a Slater Street as the Division Three fixture begins the afternoons racing before the first team fixture and then the combination. Birmingham will once more be full strength headed as always by Chris Timms with good back up of Mark Winwood, Nathan Groves and Scott Millward.
The comeback riders of Carl Winwood and Andy James will no doubt feature in the first team as well as Steve Hodgkinson and Paul Timms who have been pulling trees in the Eurovets series.
Leicester have struggled recently on and off the track and all members of the Perry Barr side hope that the East Midlanders oull through as the club have produced some fine riders in the past as well as present and boast some of the best facilities in the sport.
The first fixture will see some of the future stars of Birmingham take to the track as Marc Phipps and Connor Steele have come on leaps and bounds this season and have been at the top of the BYJL rounds. Also Emily Pitt and Chris Callow will be in action two other riders who since only taking up the sport recently have soon found a turn of speed and are will soon be knocking on the door for a first team place!
