Chris Timms and Scott Millward have confirmed that they will be riding for Horspath Hammers this season.
Monarchs captain Timms has ridden for the Oxford based side in the past and will have a familiar face in Millward in the home pits. Since Birmingham were demoted from the Elite League rumours have been circulating to where the second cities top riders would be going to in the top flight.
Chris Timms had a great season last year for Birmingham and the added responsibility of being captain also helped him develop as well as helping the younger and inexperienced riders as he helped them through the year. Timms also made the rostrum for the British Championships at Coventry in the summer and also made the long jaunt to Australia to take them on in test meetings as well as also gaining experience riding abroad.
Scott Millward had a tough year for the Monarchs. With Birmingham using Sandwell for home meetings in the Elite League it was hoped that the former Lions rider would give Brum an edge at home. That ended though as Scott had terrible injuries and missed a large chunk of the year with hand injuries. no doubt Millward will be looking to forget 2013 and get back to the rider we all know in 2014 for the Hammers.
