Monarchs End Season With Wolves

Birmingham Monarchs end the season with a Midland League encounter with East Park Wolves this Sunday at Perry Park (2pm start)

Some of the Monarchs might be glad the season is over as it has been a tough one in the Elite and Midland divisions as rider availability has been the main issue for the side.

Birmingham will be hoping for a full strength side to close the season with Chris Timms and Mark Winwood spearheading the side. Nathan Groves has struggled of late and will be looking to end the season on a high as the Eurovet duo of Paul Timms and Steve Hodgkinson will feature in the first team.

Wolves will have familiar faces as Dave Ball will be lining up against Birmingham as well as Joe Kemp though Lee Kemp is recovering from a back operation and all at the Monarchs wish him a speedy recovery. Wolves will have Matt Smith and Jamie Ball two riders who are tough on the track and hard to pass.

The sides met back in March in the season opener as the snow fell in Wolverhampton. East Park came out 100-80 winners as Birmingham struggled to field a full strength side but did well with the riders they had.
