This weekend sees Midland League action for Birmingham as they take on the Monarchs of Leicester at Slater Street.
It should be a great afternoons racing starting at 1pm with two second team meetings with the first team fixture inbetween them. Birmingham have struggled in the Midland League this season but they should be full strength with Captain Timms, Groves and Winwood being backed up by Paul Timms, Phil Widdas and Steve Hodgkinson. The West Midlands side should have a full strength second side with the ever improving youngsters Hexley, Hancox, Ryan and the Winwood brothers.
Leicester will have a strong looking side with Venson, Marchant and Burns no doubt featuring in the first team but the Monarchs from Leicestershire have a good youth scheme and will have some young chargers to look out for in the second teams as well.
In the two leagues Leicester are just ahead of the team in red and white and no doubt the Perry Barr outfit will be looking at this weekend to move above the local rivals with the return meetings towards to the end of the month at Perry Park.
