Paul Timms has had a season long tussle with Joe McLaughlin and Mike Burgess this year in the Over 50’s series but the Monarchs rider came out the victor at Edinburgh’s Redbraes Park.

Timms finished just ahead of Coventry rival McLaughlin in the A Final of the over 50’s as Steve Hodgkinson finished a well deserved second place in the B Final as Steve carries on his good form in his first year of Eurovet racing.

The series moves to Birmingham’s Perry Park on September 7th as the pair will be looking for home track advantage and we will have a full match report with the added fixture of Birmingham v Newcastle. With the series then moving to East London and finally Wednesfield it looks set to go down to the wire for the title.
