The land of the thistle finished runners up last year as Wales crashed the party and won the trophy in Edinburgh. This season the Celtic Cup will be fought at the holders as Newport will host the event on March 30th. Holders and home nation Wales will be tough to beat and Monarchs rider Mark Winwood could be in a shout for a team place after picking up 21 points last May.

Wednesfield will be holding the Home International in June and no doubt riders will be looking to get into team managers plans and the Celtic Cup will be a great stage for riders with Celtic blood to show what they can do.
